On May 16, 2024, GIMUR took part in the academic program of the IV Congreso Internacional de Música, Artes y Salud (IV CIMAS) with a conference titled La utilización de la música en la clase de artes plásticas para estudiantes con TEA, formed part of the congress program and reflected an interdisciplinary approach linking music, education, and inclusion.
The conference focused on the use of music in visual arts classes for students with autism spectrum disorder, drawing attention to a line of work that connects artistic practice with educational innovation and attention to diverse learning needs. Through this participation, GIMUR contributed to an international forum devoted to the relationship between music, the arts, and health, while also expanding the visibility of its educational and research interests in interdisciplinary contexts.
Some GIMUR representation and Oded Medina Gómez (representing the Centro de Investigación para el Aprendizaje Integrado de Artes, Lenguas y Contenidos) participated in the closing section of the congress program. It gave GIMUR a place within a wider conversation on educational practice, wellbeing, and the role of the arts in diverse learning contexts.
