A Visit to the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears Strengthens GIMUR’s Academic Outreach

On March 7, 2018, GIMUR visited the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, a public institution dedicated to higher music education in areas including performance, composition and pedagogy.

The visit formed part of GIMUR’s broader effort to build connections with leading centers for advanced music training and to open new spaces for academic dialogue. In this context, the encounter represented an opportunity to strengthen institutional ties and to explore shared interests within the field of higher music education.

As with other international and inter-institutional visits carried out during this period, the meeting contributed to expanding GIMUR’s academic presence while reinforcing its commitment to collaboration, exchange, and the development of research-informed perspectives in music education. The visit also took place within a conservatory that presents itself as having both national and international projection through initiatives such as invited professors and Erasmus+ mobility.
