On November 15, 2019, the Global Institute for Music Research (GIMUR), in collaboration with Taller de Músics – Escola Superior d’Estudis Musicals (Barcelona), carried out its first institutional visit to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.

As part of the visit, Dr. Jordi Albert delivered a series of lectures, sharing GIMUR’s research perspective in areas related to music performance, pedagogy, and artistic research. The activity provided an opportunity to engage directly with one of Europe’s leading institutions in higher music education.

The visit also included a strategic meeting with Luca Dupont-Spirio, Head of External Affairs and International Relations at the Paris Conservatory, to explore future lines of collaboration between both institutions. This exchange marked an important step toward building long-term academic partnerships within GIMUR’s international network.

GIMUR expresses its special gratitude to Taller de Músics – Escola Superior d’Estudis Musicals, where Dr. Jordi Albert is affiliated, for their support and coordination in making this visit possible.

This first institutional visit represents a key milestone in GIMUR’s internationalization strategy, reinforcing its commitment to establishing partnerships with leading conservatories and expanding its presence within major European academic environments.
