In January 2018, GIMUR made its first visit to Interlochen Arts Academy, part of Interlochen Center for the Arts, with the aim of exploring possible lines of collaboration with one of the United States’ most respected environments for artistic training. The visit marked an early step in what would become a broader process of international academic exchange.
Conceived as an initial exploratory visit, the trip focused on identifying shared interests and opening channels for future dialogue between the two institutions. It represented the beginning of a relationship grounded in the search for meaningful opportunities for collaboration in the field of music education.
This first contact also reflected GIMUR’s wider commitment to building international connections with leading institutions dedicated to advanced artistic training.
