The Global Institute for Music Research (GIMUR) continues to strengthen its international collaborative framework through its support of The Young Trumpet Studio, a project led by GIMUR collaborator Guillem Torró.
As part of this initiative, students Jesús Bermejo and Aleix Ruiz carried out an academic exchange with the trumpet studio of Professor Marc Geujon at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. This experience provided a valuable opportunity for artistic and pedagogical development within one of Europe’s leading institutions in higher music education.
The activity reflects GIMUR’s commitment to fostering international mobility, supporting emerging talent, and creating meaningful connections between young musicians and established pedagogical environments. Through direct engagement with internationally recognized faculty and institutions, participants were able to expand their artistic perspective and gain insight into advanced approaches to trumpet performance and training.
For GIMUR, supporting initiatives such as The Young Trumpet Studio forms part of a broader institutional strategy aimed at promoting collaboration across its global network, encouraging the development of new generations of musician-researchers, and strengthening ties with leading conservatories.
This action reinforces GIMUR’s role as an international platform that connects projects, institutions, and researchers, facilitating high-level academic exchange and contributing to the advancement of music research and performance practice .
